The CertifiedMail Secure Email System is designed to give any organization hassle-free access to secure electronic communications. Available as an in-house license — in the form of standalone software, or embedded in an appliance — or as a Managed Security Service, the system requires no client software installation, user training, or extensive pre-deployment consultation and configuration.

Why secure your email?
With regular "clear text" email transmission, a message in transit is vulnerable to unauthorized access at unsecured third-party routers, content filters, anti-spam gateways and mail servers. Just look at the documented 6,000+ mile path taken by one email message in the course of a seven-mile journey from Springfield, New Jersey to Morristown, New Jersey:

With the CertifiedMail secure email system, email messages are tracked and protected from the moment the user presses Send until the moment the recipient clicks Open:


  1. The user composes and sends a secure CertifiedMail message from their email client or web browser.

  2. The email is transmitted to a secure server, either the CertifiedMail Managed Service or running CertifiedMail software inside the organization.

  3. The server creates an account for the recipient and sends an "message waiting" email with URL and directions for retrieving the message.
  1. The secure CertifiedMail server records recipient tracking information on a per message and attachment basis, and notifies the sender with this information.
  1. The recipient clicks on the URL in the "message waiting" notice to access their mailbox on the CertifiedMail secure server. They then establish a password and login to read their message.
